In 2021,The Band Silhouette formed in Auburn, AL by James Berryhill (guitar/vocals), Brenner Oakes (guitar/vocals), Aubrey Guidry (bass), & Dylan Deal (drums/vocals). With each member hailing from different musical backgrounds, the band is finding a common ground through songwriting and live shows that exude high energy & spontaneous fun. Now based in Huntsville, the group displays their eclectic influences on their debut album Seedlings, a collection of tracks showcasing a range of genres, from alt rock ("Freefall") to California indie ("Runaway") to improv funk ("All Night") to bossanova-esque balladry ("Natalie") to Latin-tinged breakdowns ("Spanish Summer Rain"). The band's next release, Madwind, is a four-song EP laced with infectious melodies & intelligent musicianship.
In addition to writing originals, the band also knows an array of covers, ranging from modern Top 40 hits to classic AM radio staples to yacht rock gems.
