In 2021,The Band Silhouette formed in Auburn, AL by James Berryhill (guitar/vocals), Brenner Oakes (guitar/vocals), Will Scarpa (bass), & Dylan Deal (drums/vocals). With each member hailing from different musical backgrounds, the band is finding a common ground through songwriting and live shows that exude high energy & spontaneous fun. Now based in [Huntsville...?], the group displays their eclectic influences on their debut album Seedlings, a collection of tracks showcasing a range of genres, from alt rock ("Freefall") to California indie ("Runaway") to improv funk ("All Night") to bossanova-esque balladry ("Natalie") to Latin-tinged breakdowns ("Spanish Summer Rain"). The band is poised to support the album with performances across the state in the foreseeable future.
In addition to writing originals, the band also knows an array of covers, ranging from modern Top 40 hits to classic AM radio staples to yacht rock gems.
